That time I visited a glacier. Seno Iceberg, Chilean Fjords, Chile.
Everything you ever wanted to know about glaciers.

This is soooo cool. I would love it in my house!

I remember studying this painting in art history class.

I think I'll just make the chickpeas!

Hello! How was your week? Mine was too short due to the holiday on Monday I got thrown off. This weekend I have big plans like laundry with my trusty dryer balls, sewing, meeting my ladies on Sunday and going to a dinner tomorrow night. Just the way I like the weekend! You? Teresa

Wool Dryer Balls

I've had a few inquiries about the Dryer Balls that were featured in the prize pack in the last freebie. Many of you had never heard of them. I bought some on a whim at the grocery store, yes, my local Safeway had them in the detergent aisle! I had heard great things and wanted to try them. They were on sale and wound up in my cart. Ha! I'm so glad I bought them! I just love them. It is very dry here in Colorado and the winters are cold. Both conditions can lead to a lot of static cling. However, since using the dryer balls I haven't had any more static issues.

Some people put a few drops of essential oils (4th photo) on their dryer balls to make their laundry have a fresh scent. I'm not into scented laundry so I haven't tried it, but Little Girl keeps saying we should put some drops of grapefruit oil on them (she's very into essential oils). Maybe she will convince me. For now, I'm just thrilled they are keeping my clothes static free.

I also love that they are inexpensive (all shown below are under $20) and last for 1000+ loads! If you are hooked on dryer sheets, I urge you to give them a try. No chemicals and SO much more friendly to Mother Earth. Teresa

A group of my friends and I went to see the Her Paris exhibit yesterday. In the words of my friend Jen, "Thanks to these amazing, powerful women who joined me to see the amazing, powerful Parisian Women Artists exhibit."
This is lovely.

Little Girl would love this.

These are awesome.

Yum! (had these at a restaurant the other day and thought I could make my own!)

My mom would have loved the 2018 color of the year.

I heart daisies.

Best wishes for a fabulous weekend. I plan to play some tennis, get some sewing done (alterations are piling up) and relax. Oh, and I have a SUPER fun freebie starting tomorrow for a special occasion so you should check back!!! Cheers from Colorado--Teresa

A Cactus Birthday

As I told you on Friday, Little Girl turned 16 on Saturday. I still can't believe it. She adores cacti and succulents and is always wanting new ones for her bedroom. To celebrate her, we were inspired by this party and decided it would be a fun theme for a birthday too! I needed a cactus cookie cutter and put a call out on my neighborhood Facebook page. Not only did I find one but the owner gave it to me as she had never used it and didn't think she ever would. Score! Thanks neighbor!

The cookies and cupcakes were such fun to make. Yummy too!

I found these reusable party bags for super cheap at Target after Christmas. Another score!
This is what went in the party bags. I made the little cactus pouches (how cute is that fabric? I did make some extras that I will post on TeresaMade soon if you want one). We got the cacti at Home Depot and they happened to be 4 for $10 AND the cute hand towel was from Walmart for 88 cents. What?
Here are all the pouches I made for her friends. They loved the fun party bags. We went out for Mexican food which was also theme appropriate.
It was a fun party and the girls were so sweet to have over. A true sweet sixteen for sure. :) Teresa
